Preserving the craft
for the next generation

Hatmakers Corner was born from a shared frustration: information about hatmaking was scattered, fragmented, and often guarded with secrecy. We decided to change that.

The Community Manifesto

We believe that the hatter's craft should not be a jealously guarded secret, but a living tradition enriched by being shared. Our craftsmanship survives not by hiding techniques, but by raising the collective standard.

01. We share knowledge without reservation.
02. We respect traditional techniques, but embrace innovation.
03. We value material quality and the time that good work requires.
04. We foster a space of respect, consultation, and continuous improvement.

Our Story

It all began in Andrés's workshop, when the search for precise tools and techniques became a constant challenge. Hours spent deciphering old manuals and adapting generic tools made us realize an evident need in our trade.

Together with Jhon and Iván, we decided to create the resource we wished we had when we started. Hatmakers Corner was founded to be that meeting point where artisans of all levels could learn, consult, and perfect their techniques.

Our Relationship with Superior Hats

From our beginnings, we have maintained a close collaborative relationship with Superior Hats. They share our passion for uncompromising quality and the preservation of the craft.

Although Hatmakers Corner is an independent editorial initiative, the tools and materials we use daily in our own workbenches come largely from Superior Hats. When we mention their products in our articles, we do so from the real hands-on experience of artisans who demand the best from their tools.

"Our editorial policy is clear: we recommend what we use constructively, always explaining why it works in our artisan process."
